Greentree Job Cost Training

Participants will gain an overall understanding of the Job Cost modules in Greentree, learn about some recent features and options for setup and running the software. This is a hands-on course/workshop.

Course Objectives

On completion of this 1 day course, participants will:

  • Understand how to set up jobs
  • Understand the implications of the fields when maintaining jobs
  • Understand the various ways of invoicing jobs
  • Be able to change costs against jobs
  • Understand the reporting options available for Job Cost
  • Understand how other modules (e.g. Purchase Orders, Service Requests, Payroll) relate to jobs
  • Understand when and how to close off jobs
  • Understand the relationships between various job cost items e.g. Activity codes, Employees, Employee types
  • Understand module control settings and their affect on the modules
  • Be able to use some of the recent features of Greentree

*The course will be run on the Greentree demonstration software.

  • Simplify the creation of new Jobs (Templates)
  • Allocation of costs and revenues (Activity Codes)
  • Hints & Tips e.g. allow a change to the sell rate on a purchase order (Module Control settings)
  • How to report on job a job managers effectiveness at managing variations (sub-Jobs)
  • Setup multiple prices for labour and materials (Price books)
  • Managing estimates and variations
  • Invoicing, claim Schedules, pro-forma and managing WIP.
  • Smart revenue recognition (calculate using wildcards)
  • Spread recognised revenue (Pro-Rata)
  • Recent Enhancements – Integration with MS Project (coming soon)
