As happens each year, the end of year hectic finish has come and gone and along with that so has 2013. I hope that you all had an enjoyable Christmas and New Year.
2013 was a great year for Endeavour. We continued our strong relationship with our existing client base, many of whom have been clients for a number of years. We have been fortunate to welcome a good number of new clients to the Endeavour community and we are excited to have an opportunity to work as part of your ERP team. We have also added some great new people to the Endeavour team ensuring we can provide a high level of satisfaction to our clients. Throughout 2013 we saw an improving business environment, particularly in Auckland and Christchurch. Our Wellington office was “all shook up” which was distressing and as a result we moved our offices into a nice new safer building towards the end of the year. Thank you all for your support of Endeavour during 2013.
2014 is here and we are already right amongst it. There are some very exciting things happening that we believe bode well for everyone. The NZ economy continues to prosper and outperform expectations. It’s election year – goodness knows what that will bring. Endeavour have established it’s Microsoft Dynamics AX division, which is focused on upper mid-market businesses as their ERP solution (Enterprise Resource Planning) of choice. We welcome Robert Templer, Muhammad Asim Khan Afridi and Justine Cua into the AX team.
This year we expect to see some exciting product developments coming from our lead vendors including; Greentree, Sage and QlikView. These developments will provide more opportunities for you to add value to your business. We will provide announcements as we can, be assured there are some big steps forward coming this year from our hard working vendors.
The cloud is no longer on the horizon, it’s here and a significant part of our everyday working environment. Many of you already run systems or parts of systems through private and public cloud infrastructure. We see the cloud migration as a great opportunity to improve accessibility, collaboration and reduce costs of deployment. Endeavour has a development environment located on the cloud and we are seeing real benefits from the stability and ease of access. If you would like to discuss how the cloud might benefit your company, our Consulting and Sales team are available and knowledgeable, just ask.
Finally, we see some emerging themes for 2014
- More mobile access applications to empower people in the field
- Continued integration between trading organisations removing manual processing of transactions
- Automation through Workflow of tasks and process to ensure consistent
- Continued use of business intelligence to support growth through data discovery and improved decision making
