FinalNoteKeeping an ERP Project on budget can be challenging.  The best way to avoid unwanted costs and stay within budget is to follow the five principles below.

1. Keep the project on Schedule.
Schedule delays invariable lead to increased project costs.

2. Mange project scope.
Scope creep always increases project costs. Manage scope aggressively according to a pre-established scope management process.

3. Limited Software modifications.
Limited software modifications is an off shoot of managing project scope.  Software modifications not only drive up project costs, but they also increase ongoing costs during periodic software upgrades. Limited and aggressively challenge software modification requests.
